Although a French national, I've lived in London from September 1966 to January 1977 (age 14 to 25). And I miss it. I can share lots of nostalgia and make everyone sick by demonstrating that those really were THE GOOD OLD DAYS and that all you are left with are some toxic leftover.
Mind you, being born and raised in Paris up to the age of fourteen I can't stand nowadays Paris either.
I strongly suggest and proove that it's the very wealthy people who destroy the authenticity of everything. Big money spoils everything of beauty.
At the end of that thread those who will follow it will come to the same conclusion as me : oligarchs, the elite and the filthy rich must be put to death.
An other thread will then be created as to how should we be killing them. The rope, the hook, the guillotine, the electric chair. That thread will be open to the very mature only.

Hmmmmm. I seem to remember something like that occurring once before in French history. Be careful of what you wish for, Mr. Robespierre, lest they come for you, too. Oh, and what about the clean rich? Do they get a pass?

I spent two days in London delay-enroute when I returned from 1-1/2 years in Italy in 1966. I would like to spend a couple of months there just piddling around looking at things, taking pictures and visiting Elise, but I probably won't get to it.
