How often are you listening to a song or piece of music, and you're reminded of another song that may be a similar tune, or similar instrumental sound, or similar lyrics?
Or sometimes do you find yourself humming or thinking of a song for no apparent reason, until it hits you that it is because it is similar to another song you were just listening to?
Name such song twins in this thread, or I will steal your carrots when you are not looking!
Or post videos of song twins, and I may give you a carrot.

I won't say they are twins, but they have the same flavor and one makes me think of the other:
and of course there is this one where someone has seen the possibilities and one song intentionally blends into another:
Now get your hand off my carrot. (No, wait, that didn't come out right....)

I have a pair running around in my head, but I can't think of the name of one of them. All I can do is wait until I hear the song on the radio and remember enough of the lyrics to look it up.

Young and foolish
Here's a couple songs that are similar in theme, rather than musically. Also, they were both from fairly obscure Broadway musicals.
From "Plain and Fancy"
From "Hot September" Hot September was a stage musical version of Picnic that didn't do very well.

For all we know
Stranger things have happened
Frankie Valli must have heard Robin Ward's recording
Richard Carpenter probably did too, for all I know

Here's a pair I DO remember:
Teddy Bear's Picnic
Gounoud's Funeral March of a Marionette (Alfred Hitcock Presents theme)
The TV version of the latter was more steccato, which made it sound more like the former, which is why one reminds me of the other.
