It's about pattern recognition. You could have songs that start with the SAME letter of the alphabet, if you chose. I've certainly seen radio stations delberately do that.
But before we get that loose, we could have different songs that have the same name.

Ahh, phooey! You have polluted the purity. Same names? So what?

So it's mildly interesting, like if you found other people named Elise Harris and compared them just out of curiosity.

Your mind needs work! When was the last time you had your filter changed?

That's an interesting concept. I've been trying to get things, including my mind, organized the last couple months. Filtering, sorting, and arranging seems to be what is necessary, with material objects as well as mental concepts. Pattern recognition is one of the tools in this process. So, what I have been trying to do here is sorting and arranging music according to different filters. Just as you can sort various lists of things by price, age, size, etc. And I think you could sort songs by melody, harmony, rhythm, lyrics, themes, and even titles.

But if you keep changing the sort key, everyone will just think you have gone completely bonkers.

Only if they don't understand the concept and workings of the sort key. As I stated in the very first post of this thread: "How often are you . . . reminded of another song that may be a similar tune, or similar instrumental sound, or similar lyrics?"
It was pretty clearly implied there that the similarities can cover a variety of different filters.

"Some Sunday morning..."
"Frosty the Snowman..."
The opening is close, but the rest... eh!

Same melody, slowed down
"I'm finding it hard, to do anything . . "

That is certainly pattern recognition. Wagner always reminded me of this other guy with four of the same letters in his last name (although Wayne was a stagename)

There is a strong resemblance in the nose and mouth.
There is a book about the Bath shipbuilding works. One day they were launching a ship and John Wayne was one of the VIPs. The moment came and the ship did not move. Wayne got up and kicked the blocks under the ship and unbelievably, it started down the way. They couldn't have scripted a more perfect moment (or maybe they did).
