Filtering, sorting, organizing
With material objects, with thoughts and concepts, and with information; filtering, sorting, and organizing seems to be a needed skill to practice.
I find this just from a supposedly simple task of ordering some item from an online catalogue, when there may be 100,000 or more available choices, and all you need is to choose one, filtering and sorting becomes a necessary task. That's organizing information.
Trying to sort the clutter that I have allowed to build up in my home, reducing what is unnecessary and arranging the necessary items that remain, that's organizing material objects.
And in trying to sort my thoughts and memories, filtering and organzing is the goal there too. Thoughts, ideas, memories, plans, these all need organizing and sorting.
