Do you think she really benefits from going to Edinburgh each year? What are the Fringe Benefits for her?

Every year she seems to have learned her lesson, so to speak, but then she goes back again. Maybe it is addictive. If I went, I would scoop up all those computer cables people leave on the leftovers tables. Waste not, want not.

What she needs is a signed document!

I like going to Edinburgh I see people I haven't seen all year. I actually enjoyed it up there this year too and the shows went well. I don't think I have a hope in hell of being spotted or anything though.

Some stars are born, some stars have stardom thrust upon them, and then the rest of us have to forge our own way. You can't wait for someone else to "discover" and promote you. Find or create your own original way to have a career. It may be something nobody, not even you, would have thought of or expected to work.

No, I wasn't expecting to be discovered ever, that is the point! I am just doing stuff on the path to oblivion these days.

Elise: If you could occasionally jot down a few words in the Yesterday topic, we'd love to hear what you are doing when you are off the clock, so to speak. Remember that you are limited to 140 characters* in a post ala Twitter, plus, for being so nice, an additional 20,000 bonus characters. ---- *Except when writing in Welsh, in which case the limit is two on the grounds that if 140 characters are going to be unintelligible, two will likely be equally unintelligible (there are scientific studies on this that purport prove it, but they were written in Welsh thus insuring that they cannot be refuted, much less read).

I don't think that it is an official page - just one they made from harvesting listings.
I still haven't decided what to do in 2016, though applications are now open.

I am not sure what happened there - I thought the last post was one that turns out to have been from ages ago - it jumped to the end!

The latest post in a topic is always at the end of the topic. Different boards do it differently. It might be possible to change it. That is interesting about BCG making up Fringe pages. I didn't twig to that. Searching I found what should be the official site here. (Look at all those guides at the bottom of the page!)

I think she's saying that her comment about the BCG page was written a few weeks ago and somehow got lost in cyberspace and just appeared now, weeks after having been posted.
She also said a few weeks ago that she thought she had subscribed to this thread, but wasn't getting notifications of replies. So possibly something is acting a bit strangely in this thread, at least for her computer.

Sorry, Floppy, but I think she was referring to the order of posts in a topic. If I am wrong, I invite her to restate her comment and straighten me out.
Re: E-mail notifications. I got the first one of these I have ever seen the other day, so that is a sign that that is working. Yet, I should have received many, so that is a sign it is not working. I think it is best to just check in periodically and not rely on that feature. If it is not working reliably, it would be a hard thing to track down and get fixed.

Elise: Any chance of getting those pictured above to participate? (I assume they are all still alive and speaking to you.)

Ollie looked at the forum the other day and I asked him to post, and I think Chuquai is aware of it. I am really not in touch with wady (at all).
Still not getting any emails from the board.

Wooo! That "(at all)" has an ominous sound. I wonder what's behind that (he asked suspecting a bump in the road that is not likely to be further explained in public)?
I hope everyone will participate. Perhaps you could encourage Ollie, seeing how he is a mere rolling-pin-length away.

Perhaps we need some kind of special incentives to attract more guests. Door prizes or promises of some irresistible funzy wunzies, or maybe more videos of fluffy kitties? Or perhaps some of these people are allergic to floppy bunnies? p.s. is the other man in above photos yourself, or is that Tony Hancock?
